It’s Purge Time!

It's Purge Time!

Ah…the hot summer air; the fun in the sun….AND that urge to purge. Summer is peak garage sale season for a reason; there’s nothing like good weather to make us want to open up the windows, let in the fresh air, and ditch the clutter.

Shedding used and unwanted items has a surprisingly cathartic effect. We feel lighter, liberated, and renewed. And it doesn’t have to just apply to the garage and our closets…

Sometimes a purge is needed in other areas of our life. It could be a relationship we no longer connect with, a few pounds we want to lose, or a career that just doesn’t fit right.

But how do you know if it’s time to de-clutter your current career?

  • Your work doesn’t excite you anymore
  • You’re frustrated that you still haven’t gotten that promotion or raise
  • You’re out of balance between work and home life
  • Your feeling stalled in a career that doesn’t match your true potential
  • You’re in a new season of life and ready to take on fresh challenges
  • You’ve outgrown the expectations of a long term employer and their narrow sense of “who you are” is holding you back

Whether it’s a full-scale career change or just re-examining your career priorities – there’s no better season to purge than the summer!
